Ranchi, Feb 9: Jharkhand women’s hockey team defeated Odisha 3-1 in the semi-final of the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games in Madhya Pradesh. With this one, the girls from Jharkhand entered the final of the competition.
Notably, Nisha Minj, Rajni Kerketta and Nikki Kullu scored one goal each.
Jharkhand is currently in the 20th position in the points table with six medals including two gold, one silver and three bronze.
Sports Secretary Manoj Kumar, Sports Director Sarojini Lakra, Deputy Director Sports Dev Shankar Das, Chief D Mission Umesh Lohra, Chief Manager Santosh Kumar, and Sports Consultant Devendra Singh have congratulated the players, coach and manager on this achievement.
