Dhanbad, Feb 15: Expert speakers of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Patna and BIT Sindri gave tips to students and PhD scholars on how to prepare for quality research on the second day of the five-day workshop on ‘Research Methodology and Research Paper Writing’ (RMRPW).
On the second day of the workshop, Prof (Dr) Murli Manohar of BIT Sindri Electrical Engineering department and Prof (Dr) Maheshwari Prasad Singh of NIT Patna were at the centre of the attraction. The students ( M. Tech) and research scholars and teachers termed it most valuable for preparation of research writing.
The workshop, which is drawing a massive response from students and faculty members, is being jointly organized by the Electrical Engineering Department of Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT) Sindri and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Kolkata section.
Dr Md Abdul Kalam, head of the department BIT electrical engineering department, said that on the second day the workshop was divided into two sessions.
Dr. Murli Manohar, department of electrical engineering, BIT Sindri and Prof. (Dr.) Maheshwari Prasad Singh , NIT Patna were the expert speakers.
In the first session, Dr Murli Manohar gave his insights and information on the topic of the workshop and made the participating M. Tech students and research scholars aware about the research problem and its scope for solution.
Prof (Dr.) Maheshwari Prasad Singh of NIT Patna shared his knowledge and experience on – how to write an effective research paper. He also guided the research scholars about different writing skills and suggested concentrating on comprehensive study of its related subject matters.
Dr Singh also underlined the importance of keeping attention in selection of words, its calculation and submission while writing a research paper.
Workshop coordinator Prof Praveen Kumar said both the sessions were full of stimulating ideas and information.
“There was a healthy Q&A session between the expert speakers and the participants,” he said.
The workshop was anchored by Punam Kumari and Nisha Kumari with the help of Dr. A.K Choudhary and Prof M Rahman.
