Daltonganj, March 2: A three-day 15th national conference of IPTA is to be held at the Shivaji Maidan in Daltonganj beginning March 17.
Giving this information, the national vice president of IPTA Tanwir Akhtar told lagatar24.com, ” IPTA units of as many as 22 states are due to take part in this national conference to be held in Daltonganj beginning March 17.”
He added that Tamil Nadu may miss the conference because of some problem there with the state IPTA unit.
“The remaining Southern states’ units of IPTA like Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka etc are to participate. We have their confirmation,” added Akhtar.
Palamu district secretary of IPTA Ravi Shanker informed that the Jharkhand state tourism, arts, culture, sports and youth affairs department are lending all support and cooperation in the cultural programme bonanza of the IPTA.
Moreover, Nilamber Pitamber Folk Cultural Fest will be aided by the Jharkhand state tourism, arts, culture, sports and youth affairs department reiterated Ravi Shanker.
He said work on this national conference would be further paced up after Holi.
“Accommodation, food, transportation etc all such issues would be well taken care of said,” Ravi.
Folk music, folk instruments and folk dances across India will be presenting pageantry of varied cultural ethos in this national conference of IPTA added the national vice president Tanwir Akhtar.
“Our theme remains the same and we are deeply committed to it,” he said.
Akhter added that the themes are equality, liberty, justice, fraternity and national integration through culture and language without any side having any feeling of being left out.
On being asked why there is no participation of IPTA units of the North East states in the Daltonganj-based 3-day national conference to which Akhtar said, “Our Assam IPTA unit will be here and it will be all worth.”
On Wednesday, the Palamu unit IPTA held a press briefing led by a renowned orthopaedic surgeon and president of the organising committee for the 15th national conference IPTA Dr Arun Shukla, Nawal Tulsayan, Prem Basin, Sheela Srivastav, Shailender Kumar and others outlining the importance and objectives of IPTA in nation building.
There will be posters and paintings to mark this national conference of IPTA.
