New Delhi, March 21: Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha proceedings have been adjourned till 2 pm amid uproar over Rahul Gandhi’s democracy remarks. This is the sixth day in a row when Parliament remained paralysed due to protests.
Opposition MPs protest on the first floor of the Parliament and demand a JPC inquiry into the Adani Group issue.
“I invite the floor leaders of all parties to my chamber at 11.30 am today. The House is adjourned to meet at 2 pm today,” said Jagdeep Dhankhar, Rajya Sabha Chairman.
Earlier in the day, Lok Sabha was adjourned till 2 pm after Opposition MPs raised slogans in the house demanding a JPC inquiry into the Adani Group issue. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla calls a meeting of leaders of all parties in his chamber at 1 pm.

Notably, Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri on Monday said an ‘unambiguous apology’ from Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks in the UK that democracy in India is ‘under attack’ could end the logjam.
