Ranchi, April 10: The Jharkhand High Court on Monday continued its stay order on the construction of a new Six storey apartment, adjacent to Ratan Heights in Morabadi under the Bariatu police station area.

The stay order continued after Mecon reported to the court that the retaining wall under construction was unsafe. Earlier, BIT Mesra had given a similar report.

The development took place in the court of Justice Rongon Mukhopadhyay. The first time the high court had given a stay order was on 6 February after Ratan Heights Building Society knocked on its door for justice saying after the construction work started their life of their building had come in danger.

The society through their petition informed the court that after builder VKS Reality dug a 35 feet pit adjacent to the land of their apartment on Morabadi-Bodya Road, the entrance wall suddenly collapsed and a car parked there fell into a 35 feet pit on 23 January.

Advocate Indrajit Sinha appeared on behalf of the society.
