The Special judge of POCSO court, Prabhakar Singh, while delivering the judgment in the case also slapped a fine of Rs 5,000 on the accused.

The Public Prosecutor said that the court had  held guilty Anil Kumar Mahto in the case  after trial on Tuesday and reserved the announcement of the quantum of punishment for Wednesday.

According to the FIR lodged in the Topchachi police station by the father of 12 years old victim on April 25, 2022, the girl had gone to attend a marriage ceremony in house of her Mausi ( mother’s sister) on April 17.
