Jharkhand IPS officer Anil Palta releases book on scientific crime investigation

Ranchi, April 21: Director General (Fire Services and Home Guard) Anil Palta today released a book titled “Handbook of Field Forensic and Scientific Crime Investigation with Cyber Forensics”.

Written by a faculty of Jharkhand Raksha Shakti University Pranav Kumar Ray, the book explains methodology of simple crime investigation and cybercrime investigation with due focus on forensic science techniques and scientific investigation of events.

There are 12 chapters in this book. The book has been written keeping requirements of police officers in mind. The book explains all secrets of scientific investigations and deals with fingerprint, foot print, lip print and others.

Ray is a first batch student of the University who after his Bachelor’s and Master’s in Forensic Science besides Master’s in Police Administration started working for the university. He trains police in the field of scientific research. So far, he has trained thousands of police officers.

Ray also works for training in Jharkhand Police Academy. His book is available on Flipkart and forensicbookstore.com. It is published by Delhi’s Selective & Scientific Books.
