New Delhi, May 2: The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare reports that 3,325 new COVID-19 cases were reported in India in the past 24 hours, which is 957 fewer instances than what was reported on Monday.
The Ministry reported on Tuesday that there have been fewer positive Covid cases over the past three days, bringing the nation’s total number of active cases to 44,175.
4,282 instances were registered in the nation on Monday, compared to 5,874 cases on Sunday.
In the past 24 hours, 6,379 Covid patients have recovered from the illness, bringing the overall number of recoveries to 4,43,77,257.
The recovery rate is at 98.72%.
The weekly positivity rate is currently 3.87 per cent, while the daily positivity rate is currently 2.29 per cent.
The Health Ministry reports that 1,45,309 Covid tests were performed in the previous day, bringing the country’s total Covid tests to 92.69 crore.
In the previous 24 hours, 2,180 vaccine doses were given out, according to the Ministry.
The Nationwide Vaccination Drive has resulted in the administration of 220.66 crore total vaccine doses, including 95.21 crore second doses and 22.87 crore precaution doses, according to the Union Ministry of Health and Welfare.
