Ramgarh, May 14: A much-awaited annual summer camp at the DAV Public School, CCL, Rajrappa Project, commenced today with great enthusiasm and zeal. The week-long camp, which will run from May 14th to May 20th promises a plethora of exciting activities including sports, fine arts, music, moral education and yoga. The camp was officially inaugurated by the Principal, B.P. Roy.
The event commenced with a serene and spiritually enriching Vedic Hawan ceremony. Principal B.P. Roy, along with the camp coordinators D Mukhopadhyay, Manish Kumar Singh, and staff members, took part in the traditional rituals. The Hawan aimed to create an atmosphere of positive energy and harmony, setting the tone for the upcoming days of the camp.
In his inaugural address, Principal B.P. Roy emphasized the significance of extracurricular activities in a student’s holistic development. He highlighted the importance of sports, art, music, and moral education in shaping well-rounded individuals. The Principal commended the efforts of the organizing committee for curating a diverse range of activities that cater to the varied interests and talents of the participating students.
The summer camp aims to provide students with a platform to explore their passions, develop new skills, and foster a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship. The schedule includes a wide array of activities, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience for all attendees.
Moreover, Sports enthusiasts will have the opportunity to engage in various sporting events such as football, basketball, cricket, and athletics under the guidance of Nitu Singh, I N Mahto, Rajnish Kumar and Rima. The emphasis will be on skill development, teamwork, and instilling a spirit of healthy competition.
For those inclined towards the arts, the fine arts sessions under S K Mishra, A K Manna & N R Kindo, will offer a creative outlet for students to express themselves through painting, sketching, and crafts.
Similarly, music enthusiasts will have the chance to enhance their musical talents through workshops and performances under Rajnish Pathak & Madhulata Mishra. Moral education sessions will focus on inculcating values such as integrity, compassion, and empathy among the participants. These interactive sessions will encourage students to reflect on ethical dilemmas and make responsible choices.
Yoga classes by S K Arya & R S Sharma will also be an integral part of the summer camp, promoting physical well-being, mental relaxation, and mindfulness. Trained instructors will guide the students in various yoga asanas and breathing exercises, fostering a sense of inner balance and tranquillity.
The inaugural ceremony concluded with the Principal expressing his gratitude to the camp coordinators, teachers, and volunteers for their relentless efforts in organizing the summer camp.
