Dhanbad Railway Division launches one-product one-station project

Dhanbad, May 15:  For the promotion of the sale of local items, the Dhanbad Rail Division of East Central Railway (ECR)  on  Monday launched an ambitious project of one product one station scheme.

A senior official of the Dhanbad Rail division said that under this scheme 11 stations of the division, including  Dhanbad, Gomoh, Parasnath, Koderma, Barkakana, Tori, Latehar, Daltenganj, Renukut, Choupan and Singrauli have been selected in the first phase where stall would be set up for selling a selected single produ

The divisional railway official said under the one product one station project, the items of handicrafts, handloom, traditional cloth and agricultural products made items especially fat grains would be available at the stalls.

For the promotion of this ambitious project,  railway officials said that a stall at the station is being provided to the interested person at a minimum charge.  A person can get the stall at any of the selected 11 railway stations for only Rs 1000 for 15 days.

Station managers of the selected 11 stations of the division and commercial traffic  Inspector have been authorised to provide the stall to interested persons. The official said this would not only provide a platform to sell and promote local products but also give earning opportunities to youth.
