Jharkhand cabinet nod to increase honorarium for Panchayati Raj office holders

Ranchi, May 31: The Jharkhand cabinet today approved increment in honorarium for the office bearers and members associated with three tiers Panchayati Raj System.

Now,  Zila Parishad chairman will get Rs 12000 per month instead of Rs 10000 while deputy chairman will get Rs 10000 per month instead of Rs 7500 per month. Accordingly, the honorarium of others has also been increased. Apart from the honorarium, daily allowance and travelling allowance too has been increased.

Apart from this, as many as 38 other proposals have also been approved. Important among those included increase in compensation due to loss in man- animal conflict, 0.28 acre land on 30 -year lease on payment of Rs 41.26 lakh to Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) at Chandil for city gas station and increase in honorarium of the instructors associated with four anti- insurgency training school in Jharkhand and appointment of 75 deposition typists for courts.

Among the other important approvals for permanent settlement of 1.75 acre land to Bank of India for opening administrative building at Murmu on payment of Rs 11.23 crore, Rs 16.12 crore for NCC training in government schools, mining lease at Amarapara in Pakur to WBBCL besides others.
