Ranchi, June 2: Amity University Jharkhand and Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop a collaborative education programme, capacity building, and joint research projects.

The agreement will pave the way for student exchanges for academic, research, and training purposes. Students from Amity Institute of Clinical Psychology (AICP), a constituent unit of Amity University in Jharkhand, will assist in the assessment and treatment of cases under the supervision of a RIMS psychiatrist and a clinical psychologist.

Students will be exposed to all therapies and infrastructure necessary for programme completion. AICP faculty members from Amity University, Jharkhand, with clinical backgrounds and testing expertise will accompany students to provide necessary guidance and assist RIMS in testing, analysing, and administering therapies to patients. The students will be guided and supervised by the RIMS psychiatrist or clinical psychologist.

On the request of the university, RIMS will provide short-term training to university trainees in their areas of specialisation. RIMS and AUJ will jointly apply to national and international funding agencies for collaborative projects. RIMS and AUJ will collaborate to organise scientific workshops, symposia, and training courses and conferences on mutually relevant topics. In cooperation, faculty and research scholars will have access to research instrumentation facilities at the AUJ and the RIMS.
