Palamu, July 9: Police have arrested the militant Basant Singh who drove away Akraman Ganjhu, the zonal commander of the militant organization TSPC, on a bike. Along with this, on his tip two other co-militants were also arrested. This information was given by Lesliganj SDPO Alok Kumar Tuti in a press conference on Sunday. He told that after the encounter with the Chatra police on July 8, Zonal Commander Akraman Ganjhu along with his squad was hiding in Nagad village of Manatu. Police took action on the basis of secret information. But the Zonal Commander Akraman Ganjhu managed to escape.
In the search operation, the police arrested the militant Basant Singh, who drove away Ganjhu on a bike. On his tip, two other militants Mithilesh Bhuiyan and Santosh Bhuiyan were arrested. Alok Kumar Tuti told that during interrogation, militant Basant Singh told that Akraman Ganjhu has given a bag which is with Mithilesh Bhuiyan. After this information, the police caught Mithilesh Bhaiya. The bag has been recovered from him. After the arrest, all three militants have been sent to jail.
The police recovered two mobiles, two pocket diaries, seven SIM cards, a pamphlet written by the organization, Rs 6700 cash and daily use items from the militants in the raid operation.
