Chatra, July 9: A son killed his father by hitting him hard on his head with a heavy iron object resulting in his death on the spot. The incident took place in Teliadih village of Tandwa block on Sunday. The Tandwa police started raids to arrest the son identified as Muni Bhuiyan. Police took the body of Kali Bhuiyan(62) in possession and sent it for postmortem to the Chatra Sadar Hospital.

Sources said drunk Muni (28) was beating his son. Kali who was present in the house reached Muni’s room trying to know why he was beating the three-year-old boy. But when Muni didn’t stop, Kali snatched the stick from his hand and even hit him twice. This angered Muni who picked a heavy iron object and hit hard on his father’s head.

Bleeding profusely, Kali fell down and died on the spot. Shocked family members started shouting seeing the dead Kali. Before villagers could assemble there, Muni escaped from there.

Villagers informed the Tandwa police about the incident after which officer-in-charge Vijay Singh reached there and sent the body for postmortem. He said raids are on to nab Muni who escaped soon after committing this crime.
