ISRO successfully launches India’s third moon mission Chandrayaan-3

Sriharikota, July 14: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) created history again today. Chandrayaan-3 flew into space today at 2.35 pm from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh. India’s third moon mission ‘Chandrayaan-3’ has been launched.

This mission, prepared at a cost of 615 crores, will land near the south pole of the Moon after a journey of about 50 days. LVM-3 launcher was used to send ‘Chandrayaan-3’. It was earlier known as GSLV MK-III. Space agency ISRO had earlier launched Chandrayaan-2 with this rocket.

Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh reached the Satish Dhawan Center in Sriharikota as the chief guest. Apart from this, former ISRO Chief Radhakrishnan, K Sivan and AS Kiran Kumar were also present at the launch of Chandrayaan 3.
