New Delhi, Oct 10: Prime Minister Narendra Modi conversed with his Israeli counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu amid the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict, expressing India’s condemnation of terrorism in all its forms.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), PM Modi mentioned that he had a phone conversation with Netanyahu, during which the latter briefed him on the current situation.
“People of India stand firmly with Israel in this difficult hour. India strongly and unequivocally condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations,” the post read.

Since it began on October 7 with Hamas launching a surprise attack on Israel, the conflict has resulted in the loss of over 1,600 lives on both sides.
During the four-day standoff, the Gaza Health Ministry reports a total of 704 casualties, comprising 143 children, 105 women and more than 4,000 individuals injured in Israeli airstrikes. Furthermore, in Israel, there have been no less than 900 fatalities and 2,600 injuries due to the Hamas attack.
