Jalandhar, Oct 20: Police reported a disturbing incident in which a man fatally shot his parents and younger brother in Tower Enclave Phase 3, located within the jurisdiction of the Lambra police station in rural Jalandhar.

The alleged perpetrator is said to have used his father’s licensed revolver to carry out the killings.

Police have raised suspicions of a property-related conflict within the family as a potential motive.

“A person Harpreet shot his father, mother and brother, using his father’s licensed revolver. We suspect there was a property dispute among the family. The weapon has been seized. We are investigating the case,” stated Jalandhar Dehaat’s DCP, Balbir Singh.

The DCP added that the accused is currently on the run, and the police have initiated a search operation to apprehend him.
