Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren took to social media on Tuesday, calling on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to return ₹1.36 lakh crore in dues owed to the state. Sharing a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Soren said he expects the Prime Minister to ensure that Jharkhand receives its rightful share when he visits the state on Wednesday.
Hemant Soren’s Appeal for Dues
In his post, CM Soren said, “Tomorrow, when the Prime Minister visits Jharkhand, I hope he will return our rightful share of ₹1.36 lakh crore. This is the hard-earned money of Jharkhand’s people, and it belongs to us.” He further added that it was this demand for Jharkhand’s rightful dues that led to attempts to imprison him without cause.
