Ranchi: The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Tuesday released its first list of candidates for the upcoming Jharkhand Assembly elections. The party has named six candidates, with RJD fielding Rashmi Prakash, the daughter-in-law of the party’s lone MLA in Jharkhand, Satyanand Bhokta, from the Chatra constituency. Bhokta is currently serving as the Labour Resource Minister in the Hemant Soren government.

Apart from Rashmi Prakash, RJD has chosen Subhash Yadav as its candidate for the Koderma seat. Subhash Yadav, recently arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with an illegal mining case, is currently lodged in Beur Jail and will contest the election from behind bars.

The list also includes Suresh Paswan from Deoghar, Sanjay Prasad Yadav from Godda, Naresh Prasad Singh from Vishrampur, and Sanjay Kumar Singh from Hussainabad.
