Mumbai: The controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent refuses to die down. After Ranveer Allahbadia and Samay Raina, actress Rakhi Sawant is now under scrutiny. The Maharashtra Cyber Cell has issued a summons to Rakhi Sawant over her involvement in the obscene humor controversy linked to the show.

Sawant had appeared in an episode of Samay Raina’s YouTube show, where she reportedly made certain controversial remarks. A video of the episode has gone viral on social media, triggering public outrage.

Rakhi Sawant to Appear for Questioning

The Cyber Cell has asked Rakhi Sawant to appear on February 27 to record her statement regarding the controversy. Meanwhile, Ranveer Allahbadia has been summoned on February 24 over his controversial remarks about parents, which sparked nationwide backlash. Ashish Chanchlani, who was also part of the panel during the episode, has been asked to appear on the same day.

As for Samay Raina, he is currently out of India and had requested time until March 17 to appear before the authorities. However, the police denied his request and instructed him to be present sooner.

Rakhi Sawant Defended Ranveer Allahbadia

Interestingly, Rakhi Sawant had earlier come to Ranveer Allahbadia’s defense following the backlash over his offensive jokes on the show. She urged people to forgive him, stating, “I know he made a mistake, but let’s forgive him.”
