New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a spiritually significant moment on Sunday, revealing that he had a ‘darshan’ of the legendary Ram Setu while flying back from Sri Lanka to India. The divine sighting coincided with the Surya Tilak ceremony being held in Ayodhya, making it a deeply symbolic occasion for the Prime Minister.
Posting a video on social media platform X, PM Modi wrote, “On the way back from Sri Lanka a short while ago, was blessed to have a Darshan of the Ram Setu. And, as a divine coincidence, it happened at the same time as the Surya Tilak was taking place in Ayodhya.”
He added, “Blessed to have the Darshan of both. Prabhu Shri Ram is a uniting force for all of us. May His blessings always remain upon us.”
The Ram Setu, also known as Adam’s Bridge, is believed by many to be the ancient structure built by Lord Ram and his Vanara Sena to cross over to Lanka and defeat the demon king Ravana, as described in the Ramayana.
Earlier in the day, PM Modi arrived in Tamil Nadu to inaugurate a series of development projects and participate in spiritual observances on the occasion of Ram Navami.
