Ranchi: Jharkhand continues to witness frequent spells of rain, with showers occurring at different times of the day. According to the Meteorological Department, rainfall is expected to persist across the state until September 29, which could disrupt upcoming Durga Puja celebrations. A yellow alert has been issued, warning of rain accompanied by winds at speeds of 30–40 kmph.
Rainfall and Thunderstorm Forecast
On September 25, light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms is likely at a few places. On September 26 and 27, many areas are expected to receive light to moderate rain along with thunder. On September 28 and 29, light to moderate showers are predicted at isolated locations.
Temperature Outlook
No significant change in maximum temperature is expected over the next five days. In Ranchi, the maximum temperature is likely to remain around 29°C, while the minimum could hover near 23°C. So far, Jharkhand has recorded 1173.2 mm of rainfall this year, about 18% above the normal average of 992 mm.
