New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday reiterated that the INDIA alliance is determined to secure full rights for the most backward classes, Dalits, tribals, minorities, and other marginalized groups, regardless of what he called the BJP’s “distraction strategies.”
Commitment to Social Justice
Rahul Gandhi emphasized that the struggle is for equality and dignity of the most backward communities, which he described as true social justice. Referring to the Atipichhda Nyay Sankalp Patra released in Bihar on Wednesday, he said the document makes concrete promises to strengthen the extremely backward classes and increase their participation.
Focus on Education and Reservations
Highlighting education as the key to progress for these communities, Gandhi said special commitments have been made to improve access to education. He added that reservations would be implemented in private colleges and universities, with half of reserved seats in private schools allocated to SC/ST/OBC/EBC children. He also pledged to end unfair recruitment practices such as “not found suitable” criteria.
