Ranchi: Today is a significant day for candidates selected for the post of Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) in Jharkhand. A total of 64 selected candidates will receive appointment letters in a formal ceremony attended by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Appointment Ceremony at Project Bhawan
The programme will be held at the Project Bhawan auditorium at 1 pm on April 21. The selected candidates were recommended by the Jharkhand Public Service Commission, and the appointment process will be completed in the presence of the Chief Minister.
Officials said document verification for all selected candidates has already been completed.
Category-Wise Selection Details
According to the selection list, the appointments include 34 candidates from the unreserved category, 2 from Scheduled Castes, 21 from Scheduled Tribes, 1 from BC-One, and 6 from the Economically Weaker Section.
The recruitment reflects representation across multiple social categories in the state.
Strong Participation of Women
Women have secured a notable share in the recruitment drive. Out of the 64 selected candidates, 35 are women, which is higher than the prescribed 50 percent reservation benchmark.
This has been seen as a positive outcome for women’s participation in administrative and welfare services.
More Appointments Likely
There is also a possibility that selected candidates for the post of Women Supervisor may receive appointment letters during the same event. However, a final decision on that is still pending.
The counselling process for that recruitment is currently underway, while the examination was conducted by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission.
