Indian badminton player Tanvi Sharma continued her impressive form, advancing to the women’s singles quarterfinal at the Korea Masters 2026 after defeating fellow Indian Shreyanshi Valishetty 21-16, 17-21, 21-13 in the pre-quarterfinal round, just a week after creating history by winning the Taipei Open Super-300 title.
Shreyanshi Fights Back in Second Set Before Tanvi Seals Win
Tanvi won the opening set 21-16, but Shreyanshi staged a strong comeback in the second set, winning it 21-17 to level the contest. However, Tanvi turned up the aggression in the decisive third game, completely dominating proceedings to close it out 21-13 and secure her place in the quarterfinals.
Tanvi to Face Winner of Rakshitha-Manami Clash Next
Tanvi will next face the winner of the match between India’s Rakshitha Sree Ramraj and Japan’s Manami Suizu in the quarterfinal round.
