PM Modi Completes 25 Years in Public Office, Offers Prayers at Shri Vinayak Temple

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked 25 years in public life on Wednesday, October 7, by offering prayers at the Shri Vinayak Temple in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi.

PM Prays for Prosperity and Health of the Nation

In a post on X, Modi said he sought Lord Ganesha’s blessings for the happiness, prosperity and good health of his “family members” across the country. He wished that by the grace of the remover of obstacles, everyone may prosper and the nation keep moving steadily on the path of progress. It was on October 7, 2001, that Modi first became Chief Minister of Gujarat.

Union Cabinet Passes Resolution Congratulating PM

On Tuesday, the Union Cabinet passed a resolution congratulating the Prime Minister on completing 25 continuous years as head of government. The resolution described the milestone as a celebration of an extraordinary leadership journey built on the principles of “Nation First” and “Citizen First.” The Cabinet called the three large mandates won in Gujarat and the support received in three consecutive Lok Sabha elections a sign of the public’s unwavering trust.

BJP to Hold Programmes Across the Country

The BJP will organise several events nationwide today to mark the occasion. In a post on X, the party said each milestone reflects a vision rooted in the aspirations of 140 crore Indians and a resolve to build a stronger, more self-reliant and more prosperous India. It added that the celebration is not only of the years gone by, but of a continuing mission to serve every Indian, empower every citizen and take the country to new heights.
