Two shot dead at McCluskieganj in Ranchi

Ranchi, Aug.31: Two youths in the age group of 25 to 30 were shot dead at Mcluskieganj last night.

They were identified as Bhubaneswar Ganju and Naresh Ganju.

The incident took place when they were returning to their homes after a football match in Khelari.

Police recovered their bodies and sent them for an autopsy at the Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS).

The reason behind the murder is yet to be ascertained.

Superintendent of Police (rural) Naushad Alam said those killed were earlier sent to jail in a case of possessing illegal arms. He said the inquiry has started.

A police official said the hand of the TPC extremist is suspected in this incident. “The youth consumed liquor after a football match and a weekly market and the incident is apparently fall out of brawl in drunken stage,” the official said.
