Ranchi, Sept 28: Jharkhand Jaguar Deputy Commandant Rajesh Kumar got injured during an encounter between security forces and Naxalites at Nawagarh under the Latehar police station area of the district.
Rajesh is being airlifted to Ranchi for better treatment where he will be admitted to Medica Hospital.
The incident took place between the security forces and the JJMP militant organization in which one militant was killed during the firing from both sides.
The senior police officer had received the information about the Nawagarh based Naxalites to carry out some major incidents. After which a search operation was conducted in the forest by the security forces. Seeing the security forces getting heavy in the firing from both sides, the Naxalites managed to escape by taking advantage of the dense forest.
During the search operation in the forest, the security forces have recovered many weapons including AK-47. An intensive campaign is being conducted by the security forces in the forest to nab the Naxalites.
