PM Modi to inaugurate CIPET, lay foundation of 4 new colleges in Rajasthan

CIPET or the Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur has been set jointly by the state government and central government.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be inaugurating the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering and Technology or CIPET in Jaipur. The inauguration will take place tomorrow. PM Modi would be present at the inauguration via video conference at 11 am.

Along with the Prime Minister, the other dignitaries who will be attending the event include Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare Mansukh Mandaviya. Along with the inauguration of CIPET, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for 4 new medical colleges which will be set up in Rajasthan.

The medical colleges would be set up in several districts of Rajasthan such as Banswara, Sirohi, Hanumangarh, and Dausa districts. The decision to set up four new medical colleges in the state falls under the Centrally sponsored scheme that is referred to as, “Establishment of new medical colleges attached with district/ referral hospitals”. Under the scheme, as many as 157 medical colleges have been approved throughout the country.

CIPET or the Institute of Petrochemicals Technology, Jaipur has been set jointly by the state government and central government. It aims to provide skilled knowledge to the youth of Rajasthan. Further, it is self-sustainable and intends to fulfill the needs of the petrochemical industry as well as other allied industries.
