Indian Golf Union organises amateur tournament in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 23: The Indian Golf Union (IGU) organised an Amateur Golf Tournament at Beldih Golf Course in Jamshedpur on October 21-22.

 

The event was for various age groups, starting from children to senior and super senior categories.

 

The number of participants was about 42 in all categories on both days.

The event organised by IGU is an Eastern India level and finals will be played in December 2021 at Kolkata.

 

The prize distribution ceremony was held at Beldih golf course last evening.

The council member of the IGU, Farzan R Heerjee, who is also the chief protocol and sports, Tata Steel was present. He gave away the prizes to the winners and runners-up.

 

Golfers from Jamshedpur, Kolkata, Bhubaneswar and Jabalpur participated in the event.  Anil Kumar was referee of the tournament.

 

Farzan R Heerjee thanked  Tata Steel sports division and Beldih Club for the successful conduct of the tournament.
