Raipur, Oct 24: All private schools in Chhattisgarh will remain closed on October 25. Regarding this, the Private School Association has announced that on Monday there will be strike and picketing at the state level. The people of the school association will express their displeasure towards the government by gathering at the dharna site of Budhapara in Raipur. Due to this decision of the association, more than 7 thousand schools in the state will remain closed and education of about 16 lakh children will be affected.

“The government is constantly ignoring our demands. At many levels, the people of the school put their problems in front of the government, but none of us were listened to. Now the organization of the state has taken this decision. On October 25, all schools will be locked. Teaching staff, non-teaching staff will all be on strike”, said School Association President Rajiv Gupta.

Notably, the main reason for this strike is the money received by private schools under RTE, Right to Education. For the last several months, about Rs 106 crore is due to all the schools, which the state government has not given till now.
