Daltonganj,Oct 30: Palamu got its maiden 24 feature advanced life support ambulance, courtesy the Coal India Limited (CIL).
GM Rajhara area CCL Chandwa Basab Choudhuri said the chairman of the Coal India Limited Pramod Agrawal and CCL chief managing director P M Prasad said the 63 lakh worth advanced life support ambulance was made available to Palamu MP V D Ram under our CSR (corporate social responsibility) programme.
Former chief minister Babulal Marandi and MP V D Ram last evening jointly dedicated this advanced life support ambulance to the people of Palamu.
The advanced life support ambulance has been given to the Red Cross Society Daltonganj.
Secretary of the Red Cross Society Dr Satyajit Gupta said the ambulance has one technician and driver and as there is no parking facility available with the Red Cross Society here this multi lakh ambulance will be parked in the premises of the official residence of the civil surgeon Palamu Anil Kumar.
Gupta said right now we don’t know how to run it.
The MP is expected to hold a meeting in regard for its maintenance.
The ticklish question is how to meet fuel cost and salary of the driver, apprentice and wear and tear.
Sources said the MP is toying with a proposal to get it tagged to the Ayushman Bharat yojna as then all fiscal concerns will be taken care of easily.
