Tata Steel bans personal and business travel amid rising Covid cases

Jamshedpur, Jan 3: Keeping in mind the increasing number of cases of Coronavirus, the Tata Steel Company has decided to ban travel once again. Tata Steel has banned personal and business travel of officers and employees. A circular was issued by the company regarding this on Monday.

This order will also be applicable to the family members of the employees and officers. It will also be mandatory for them to complete further actions following the Coronavirus guidelines and protocols if they travel when necessary. After state or interstate travel, it will be mandatory to mention the Covid test results in the travel declaration form.

During this time period, any kind of physical meeting, seminar, workshop will also be banned in Tata Steel. All such programmes will be organised virtually. In the circular, officers and employees have also been advised to avoid taking part in large functions, parties and programs unless absolutely necessary.

There have also been talks of promoting work from home. Everyone has been advised to strictly follow the Coronavirus practises including wearing masks, social distancing and use of hand sanitisers. In this circular issued under the signature of VP HRM, it has also been said that all the employees or officers who have not yet taken the Covid vaccine, should mandatorily take it.
