Ranchi, Jan.4: Vice president of the Ranchi District Gym Association Prabhat Singh took strong exception to the closure of the gym in the wake of the third wave of corona pandemic saying it is injustice with gym owners.

“When bars, restaurants, parlours, market and banquet halls can be opened, why not a gym, which is like any other financial activities,” Singh questioned, alleging the government of being impartial.

Singh said opening gyms is the need of hours as during previous lockdown gym owners had already faced heavy financial losses like any other business.

“Closure of gyms is an attack on equal opportunity to work for all,” Singh said, adding that ‘business of gyms is being targeted’ though it gives less return on heavy investment.

He said his organization will soon meet the government with a demand for opening the gyms.
