Ranchi, Jan 8: In the midst of rising cases in Ranchi, a mock drill of oxygen plants was conducted on the instruction of Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan at Sadar Hospital, Sub-Divisional Hospital Bundu, Ormanjhi and Sonahatu CHC. In view of the increasing infection of Corona in the Ranchi district, continuous efforts are being made to improve the system related to it.

Through the mock drill, it was seen that there is no problem in oxygen supply from the oxygen plant. Civil Surgeon Dr Vinod Kumar visited all the places and took stock of the mock drills.

For a smooth supply of oxygen, the PSA plant installed at Sadar Hospital has a capacity of 800 LMP PSA and 100 LMP PSA. These are all functional and are also connected to the manifold and its certification has also been done.

Adequate arrangements have been made in the district to ensure that there is no shortage of oxygen supply during any phase of Covid-19 infection. The district administration has established a PSA plant at Sadar Hospital.

After the second wave of the corona, new oxygen plants have been installed at Namkum, Ormanjhi and Sonahatu CHCs. Also, a new oxygen plant will soon be ready in Burmu.

80 oxygen concentrators are available in Sadar Hospital while 20-20 oxygen concentrators are available in Sub-Divisional Hospitals Bundu, Angada, Bedo, Burmu, Chanho, Kanke, Lapung, Mandar, Namkum, Ormanjhi Ratu, Silli and Tamar CHC.
