Jharkhand govt extends Covid restrictions till January 31

Ranchi, Jan 15: The Jharkhand government has extended the Covid restrictions implemented in the state for two weeks. An official press release by the office of state health minister’s office said that the government is monitoring the situation and the decision has been taken after reviewing the current situation.

The existing guidelines will continue till further orders. Earlier, the restrictions were imposed till January 15 in view of the corona infection in the state which will continue for the next two weeks (January 31).

The information was also shared by Health Minister Banna Gupta via Twitter.

राज्य में 31 जनवरी तक लॉकडाउन की वर्तमान व्यवस्था लागू रहेगी, जो भी पाबंदी या छूट वर्तमान परिपेक्ष्य में लागू है उसे राज्य सरकार ने 31 जनवरी तक यथावत रखने का फैसला किया हैं, सरकार हालात पर लगातार समीक्षा कर रही हैं, आप सभी से अनुरोध हैं कि गाइडलाइंस का पालन करें, सुरक्षित रहें।

The state government’s guidelines regarding Covid are as follows:

  • All parks, swimming pools, gyms, zoos, tourist places, sports stadiums will be completely closed till 31 January 2022.
  • Schools, colleges, coaching institutes will remain closed till 31 January 2022 but administrative work will be done in these institutions with 50% capacity.
  • Cinema halls, restaurants, bars and shopping malls will open with 50% capacity.
  • Stores, bars and medicine shops will be closed at their normal time, all other shops will remain open till 8 pm.
  • A maximum of one hundred people will be able to participate in the outdoor event.
  • Indoor events can be held with 50% of the total capacity or 100, whichever is less.
  • Offices of government and private institutions will remain open with 50% capacity. Biometric attendance will be banned.

Minister Banna Gupta has also urged people to take the vaccine. “Youth should also actively participate in the vaccination campaign, the state government is taking all possible measures to achieve the target of 100% vaccination,” he said.
