Ranchi, Jan 22: Majority of people in the district owning ration cards are unable to apply for the subsidy over petrol as the vehicle owners’ mobile numbers are not linked with the ration card.

The applicants will have to get their number registered with their ration card to further proceed themselves to get registered for taking the benefit of the subsidy provided by the state government.

Several applicants have also registered other vehicles which are not covered under the subsidy. On the issue, DTO Praveen Kumar Prakash said that the applications received other than two-wheeler vehicles are getting cancelled.

“The subsidy is offered over the two-wheeler vehicles and in case, they are registering other vehicles thinking that they might get the benefit of the subsidy, such application would be rejected,” he said.

For applying for the subsidy, one has to visit jsfss.jharkhand.gov.in or download an apk file which is available on the ‘Aahar portal,’ upon which the CM-Supports application is to be installed in the mobile phones.
