Ranchi, Sept 20: The South Eastern Railway will be setting up its first Aadhar facilitation centre at Hatia junction on Sept 21 followed by Ranchi Junction on Sept 22, as informed by the Ranchi senior DCM Prashant Kumar.
He added that this is the first time that South Eastern Railway will be setting up Aadhar facilitation centres in its stations and the move will help the residents/passengers with queries regarding Aadhar.
Notably, the first Aadhaar Center in a railway station was set up in Guwahati Railway Station in August this year.
Earlier, apart from the dedicated Aadhaar centre, facilities related to Aadhar were provided only in government banks, BSNL offices, other government offices and post offices.
According to UIDAI, the government body that issues Aadhar cards, at present more than 35 thousand Aadhar centres are functioning across the country. Apart from this, UIDAI is running 114 Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs) in 53 cities of the country.
