ACB nabs clerk of Ranchi SSP office accepting bribe

Ranchi, March 29: A sleuth of state anti corruption bureau (ACB) today arrested a clerk from the office of senior superintendent of police in Jharkhand capital.

 

The clerk, Deepak Kumar, was arrested when he was accepting Rs 5000 as bribe for clearing paper related to pension of travelling allowance of an assistant sub inspector Shailesh Kumar Pandey, whose retirement is due on March 31.

 

The ACB took action getting information from Pandey. “The ACB team is interrogating the clerk,” an official said.

 

On October 5 last year, a sleuth of Anti Corruption Bureau in Jharkhand arrested a constable clerk Rakesh Kumar accepting Rs 20,000 to drop charges under section 307 of IPC. The clerk was associated with  circle inspector (Western Sadar Circle) Mohan Pandey.
