Ajay Kumar Singh appointed new DGP of Jharkhand

Ranchi, Feb 14: Ajay Kumar Singh, a 1989 batch IPS officer of Jharkhand cadre, has been appointed as the new DGP of Jharkhand. The notification related to this has been issued by the government on Tuesday night (February 14).

Notably, Neeraj Sinha, IPS of 1987 batch of Jharkhand cadre, retired on Saturday, after which the post of Jharkhand DGP was lying vacant.

Earlier, suspense was intact regarding the post of DGP. Three names were discussed, in which the names of Ajay Bhatnagar, deputed in CBI, MD of Police Housing cum DG ACB Ajay Kumar Singh and Rail ADG Anil Palta were included.

Ajay Kumar Singh was currently posted as MD of Jharkhand Police Housing Corporation. Apart from this, he had the additional charge of ACB DG.
