Ranchi, March 2: Legislator Lambodar Mahto expressed his concern over delay in grade pay-based time bond promotion of the state government officials.
He raised the issue through a call attention motion in the state assembly. He said that though the Jharkhand High Court on January 13 this year quashing the stay order of the personnel and administration department notification to stay the promotion of state government officials directed the state government to give promotion within four weeks to those employees who have been selected for the same by departmental promotion committee, no step has been taken so far.
Mahto said that delay in promotion adversely affects the work efficiency of the government employees and finally hampers the progress but no step is being taken to the half yearly meeting of departmental promotion committees unlike Indian Administrative Service officials.
On which parliamentary affairs minister Alamgir Alam said that he will look into the matter. He, however, said that the state has its own rule for promotion and it will not be proper to compare it with the union government.
