Ranchi, Feb 24: The Jharkhand High Court denied a petition brought by Satyadev Singh seeking to reopen a 24-year-old access road to Veer Kunwar Singh Colony that had been closed by the Accountant General Office in Hinoo.
Chief Justice Sanjay Mishra issued the order based on the report of amicus curiae Ramit Satyendra, who visited the site with a competent officer of Ranchi Municipal Corporation, an Argora circle officer, and the petitioner for firsthand information and reported that the petitioner is responsible for the closure of the access road because he has encroached land.
In dismissing the petition, the high court allowed the petitioner to take the case to a competent civil court for the approach road.
