New Delhi, Dec 20: The BJP on Tuesday called second parliamentary party meeting in Delhi during the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, in less than a week.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior MPs, and party leaders attended the meeting, including JP Nadda, Rajnath Singh, S. Jaishankar, and Pralhad Joshi, minister of parliamentary affairs, among others.

The second meeting of BJP MPs in a week takes place as opposition members in Parliament attack the administration over the recent clash between Indian and Chinese forces along the LAC in the Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

Due to opposition MPs disrupting house proceedings and staging walkouts when their demands to discuss the India-China border incident were denied, the Winter Session has so far been a washout, with virtually little business being done.

On December 14, the last time the saffron party conducted a parliamentary party meeting, top leaders engaged in friendly back-patting over the BJP’s historic victory in the just-concluded Gujarat Assembly elections.

PM Modi was congratulated during that occasion for his historic victory in Gujarat. The Prime Minister responded by praising the state unit, in particular its president CR Paatil, and asserting that the victory was a result of the BJP’s organisational power and its supporters.
