Ranchi, Feb. 4: Union Home Minister Amit Shah today dubbed the Hemant Soren government as the ‘most corrupt’ in the country.
Shah said Hemant did corruption not with his hands, but with tractors and railway wagons and embezzled the money meant for the tribals and the poor and took it to ‘Delhi durbar’ (read Congress).
Addressing a public meeting after laying the foundation of a nano urea plant in Deoghar to be set up by IFFCO, the home minister said that the people who are watching his misdeeds are ready to throw him out in the 2024 elections.
Branding the Hemant Government as the most incompetent government, he said that he has done nothing for Santhal Pargana and been befooling the public all thesee years.
“Not only that. The Hemant government is indulging in changing the demography of the Santhal Pargana. The number of Adivasis has come down to 24 percent from 35 percent in Santhal Pargana. The number of OBCs has also come down. The intruders (read Bangladeshis) are usurping the tribal land. But the BJP will not allow it. Jiska Jharkhand hai usi ka rahega (Whose Jharkhand belongs to him will remain),” he declared.
During his speech, Shah tried to brand Hemant Soren as the ‘most corrupt, incompetent to do justice with the tribals, SCs and OBCs and the one who is undermining the interests of tribals by nurturing Bangladeshi intruders for vote bank politics.
Shah said that the tribal girls are being killed in Santhal Pargana and the Hemant government is doing nothing.
Shah said that Deoghar and Jamtara have become hubs of cybercrime,” The Government of India is ready to extend all sorts of help to reform the youths who have adopted it as their profession, but the Hemant Government is least concerned about it,” he pointed out.
Branding the Hemant government as indolent, he counted the BJP government’s achievement in the Centre to gift, airport, AIIMS, a number of trains connecting Godda to various cities among others.
He presented the development model of Godda, led by MP Nishikant Dubey, worth emulating and called upon the electorates of the neighbouring Raj Mahal parliamentary constituency to let a lotus bloom in the 2024 elections for their all round development.
He also recalled the achievements of the BJP governments in Jharkhand in the past and said that the Hemant government has done nothing except befooling the public.
“The Modi government has made Budha Pahad maoist free and is working on other operations to make Jharkhand and Bihar Maoist free, ” he added.
It is the second visit by Amit Shah in the last one month. Earlier, he had addressed a public rally in Chaibasa on January 7 where he had dubbed the Hemant government as ‘anti-tribal’ and of ‘looters and brokers’.
Today again, Shah did not forget to remind the people that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP coalition partners chose Droupadi Murmu, a tribal woman from a poor family, for the top most constitutional post of the country.
Reiterating the commitment of the Modi government for the tribal welfare, Shah said that it declared November 15 as Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas to mark Birsa Munda birth anniversary when not only the tribals but the whole country will pay obeisance to the tribal icon every year.
Shah also lashed out at the Hemant Government for siphoning off funds meant for the welfare of tribals under DMFT. Jharkhand was allocated Rs 830 crore under DMFT.
Notably, the BJP had won 11 out of 14 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections. While one seat had been bagged by its ally -ASJU-it lost two seats-Chaibasa (Congress) and Raj Mahal (JMM).
The BJP had lost the Chaibasa seat reserved for the Scheduled tribes to Geeta Koda of the Congress in 2019. Similarly, the JMM had won the Raj Mahal seat, also reserved for the Scheduled tribes. The BJP is specially focusing on wresting the two seats from the Congress and the BJP in 2024 and retaining the rest of 12 seats.
