Amity University Jharkhand holds discussion on ‘amendments in Indian Constitution and their Impact’

Ranchi, Jan.28: A discussion on ‘ Amendments in Indian Constitution and their Impact ‘ was organised by Amity School of Economics, Amity University, Jharkhand (AUJ)on Friday. The main objective of this event was to make students well informed about different constitutional amendments that have a significant impact on the development of India.

Prof. (Dr.) Raman Kumar Jha, Vice-Chancellor of Amity University Jharkhand addressed by saying “rules should be made by those who follow the rules, and the representatives to make rules should be those who make rules for the welfare of public and not their personal welfare.”

The guests of the event were experts from Amity Law School, AUJ Assistant Professors Jyoti Rangari and Mrityunjay Mayank who shared their expertise and views on amendments of the constitution. They discussed some important judgments and cases so far like the Kesavananda Bharati case, and many more.

As many as 10 students from the economics department spoke about different constitutional amendments so far done and shared their views. Geet Heliwal, Priyanshu Chourasia, Sanjana Sinha and Dristi Sharma were appreciated by the experts for their extempore and deep knowledge about the constitution.

In the end, Dr Kumari Dibya the Program Leader of Amity School of Economics proposed a vote of thanks and thanked all the organisers for such an informative and fruitful event.
