Jamshedpur, Feb 18: Anjan Kumar, a Class XII student of D.B.M.S. Kadma High School in Jamshedpur brought glory to his school and made the steel city proud by receiving admission letters from Stevens Institute of Technology, University of Miami, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Indianapolis, Loyola University Chicago, University of Florida at Tampa, Manhattan College New York.
He became the Next Genius 100 % Scholarship winner to Juniata College 2021-22.
Every year only a single student across India gets this scholarship amounting to over Rs 1.5 crore.
Anjan, a resident of Gamharia in the adjoining Seraikela-Kharsawan district has been a brilliant student as well as an excellent orator. Son of Visheshwar Yadav, a trucker by profession, he hailed from a humble background.
An outstanding athlete, Anjan has participated in various district-level athletic meets and has brought laurels to the school.
He had a dream of becoming an IITian. But, now he said he aspires to study abroad and his selection in foreign universities is an achievement in itself.
“I want to become a research scholar in a foreign University. Whatever I have achieved so far is because of the blessings of my parents and teachers,” he said with a smile on his face.
