New Delhi: Anmol Bishnoi, the younger brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, has been placed on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list, with a ₹10 lakh reward offered for information leading to his arrest. Known for his alleged involvement in multiple high-profile crimes, Anmol has links to several notorious cases, including the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, the firing outside Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, and the recent killing of politician Baba Siddique.

Background and Crime Involvements

Anmol Bishnoi, originally from Fazilka in Punjab, faces at least 18 cases, with allegations of him providing logistical support and weapons for Sidhu Moosewala’s murder in June 2022. The assassination, claimed by Lawrence Bishnoi gang associate Goldy Brar, was reportedly carried out to avenge the killing of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Muddukhera.

Role in the Salman Khan Firing Incident

In a separate incident, Anmol is accused of orchestrating the April firing outside Salman Khan’s Bandra residence. According to the NIA chargesheet, Anmol delivered an impassioned speech to the shooters, urging them to make a mark in history, asserting, “Lord Ram has blessed us. We will handle him (Salman Khan).”

Legal Proceedings and Current Status

Anmol, who reportedly fled India on a fake passport last year, is believed to be in Canada. A non-bailable warrant was issued for him in July by a Mumbai court. The NIA asserts that he remains active in criminal operations and was in contact with the shooters involved in Baba Siddique’s recent killing on October 12.
