‘Art in Industry’ set to kick off in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Oct 31: The ‘Art in Industry’ organised by Tata Steel will kick off in Jamshedpur this evening.

The event would celebrate the harmonious coexistence of creativity and innovation, showcasing the remarkable contributions of Indian artists.

The much-awaited event would take place at the Centre for Excellence (CFE) from October 31 to November 4.

There will be an Art Therapy workshop by Vivek Sharma on November 1 while another Talk by Lina Vincent on Medium and Metaphors in Contemporary Art on November 2 evening followed by a Children’s workshop at Jamshedpur Nature Trail by Venkat Raman Singh Shyam on November 3.

Subodh Kerkar, an ocean artist will have social interaction on November 3 evening. On November 4, T V Narendran, CEO & MD of Tata Steel will grace the event with his presence wherein he will interact with renowned artists and distinguished visitors.

The event will feature the participation of several renowned artists.

Artists who will be showcasing their work include Dulari Devi, Chandra Bhattacharjee, R M Palaniappan, Saba Hasan, Madhuri Bhaduri, Viveek Sharma, Somenath Maity, Farhad Hussain, Trupti Dave, Rathin Kanji, Saroj Venkat Shyam, Sachin Sagare, Shanthamani Muddaiah, George Martin P J, Sohan Singh Billawria.

These artists, along with many others, will be showcasing their remarkable creations during the event. It will be a unique opportunity to experience the diverse artistic styles and expressions of these talented individuals.

The Art in Industry initiative, started by Tata Steel in 1943, has been at the forefront of promoting and supporting emerging artists from across the nation.

The event will also feature an art gallery displaying over 70 artworks by renowned artists, including M F Husain, Mario Miranda, R K Laxman and Paritosh Sen. These artworks have been thoughtfully collected over time and represent a diverse range of artistic styles and themes.

In addition to the art gallery, the event will host art camps where emerging artists will have the opportunity to collaborate with eminent figures in the art world.

These camps have been instrumental in nurturing talent and fostering a sense of community among artists.

The event aims to provide a platform for artists to showcase their work, connect with art enthusiasts, and inspire creativity and innovation.

It is a testament to Tata Steel’s commitment to supporting the arts and promoting cultural preservation.
