Ramgarh, Feb, 14: BJP legislature party leader Babulal Marandi on Tuesday asked the Hemant Soren government to hire expensive lawyers to frame a constitutionally valid domicile policy instead of spending crores on saving itself from corruption.

Addressing an election meeting organized in support of NDA candidate Sunita Choudhary at Sangrampur at Gola, Marandi said that when Hemant Soren was the deputy Chief minister in the Arjun Munda’s government, he had toppled the government on the grounds of framing a 1932 Khatiyan-based local policy.  Later, he formed the government together with Congress and RJD.  There was a UPA government both in the state and at the centre but at that time the Hemant government did not try to frame a 1932-based local policy.  Today, he is doing politics of firing by keeping a gun on other’s shoulder, he pointed out.

Speaking on the inaction of the government, Marandi said that the condition of the State has not been good ever since Hemant Soren formed his government in 2019.  “Development work has come to a standstill in the state.  Today, this government has not been able to do a single development work in three years.  The network of roads and bridge culverts was laid by the NDA government in the state.  The work of providing electricity to the village was also done by the NDA government,” he said.

Marandi accused the state government of laxity in implementing the schemes of the Centre.  He said that the schemes of the Central Government are not reaching the people of Jharkhand properly.  “People are wandering from pillar to post for food grains. The pace of the water supply scheme is slow in every house.  Be it Ujjwala scheme, toilet scheme or Ayushman scheme, people are deprived of their benefits,” he alleged.

Marandi called upon the people to vote in favour of NDA candidate Sunita Choudhary and send a message to the corrupt government of the state. He said that the people of Ramgarh have a golden opportunity to teach a lesson to the corrupt Hemant government of the state.
