Kolkata, Sept 13: Four BJP members were detained at Panagarh Railway Station in the West Burdwan district of West Bengal during Bengal BJP’s march to the secretariat. The march is being held in retaliation for the TMC government’s allegedly corrupt actions.

At Panagarh station, the four BJP members were detained prior to boarding the train. BJP members claim that after entering each train stop, the police are arbitrarily arresting solely BJP members and supporters.

The state police have blocked the entrance to train stations as hundreds of BJP members travel by train to Kolkata to participate in the party’s “Nabanna March.”

As BJP members depart for Kolkata for the “Nabanna March,” they engaged in violence with the police in front of the Raniganj train station. BJP members have been placed in preventative custody by the state police.

In the meantime, the BJP has arranged for seven trains to transport party workers and supporters from various West Bengal locations to the September 13 “Nabanna Abhijan” (march to the secretariat).

At the Dubordi checkpoint on the West Bengal-Jharkhand border, which is managed by the Kulti police station of the Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate, Bengal police reinforced security on Monday evening.
